Royal Canadian Mint 10 g Diwali gold bar — 10 g of 999.9 fine gold
A bar containing 10 g of 999.9 fine gold, struck by the Royal Canadian Mint for Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. The obverse features a sculpted diya oil lamp with rays of light; the reverse carries the Mint's logo, the weight and the fineness.
It combines a standard bullion weight with a design that matters in Indian culture: during Diwali, and especially on Dhanteras, buying gold is a long-standing custom believed to bring good fortune.

The Diwali design — the diya lamp
Diwali, the festival of lights, falls in the autumn and celebrates the victory of light over darkness. Its best-known symbol is the diya, a small clay oil lamp lit in homes and on doorsteps. This is what the Mint placed on the obverse: a sculpted flame with rays of light spreading across the background.
The reverse follows the bullion style: Royal Canadian Mint logo, 10 g weight and 999.9 fineness. The Canadian mint issues Diwali bars in successive years — the 2025 and 2026 editions share the lamp design and the 28.4 × 16.5 mm dimensions. The year of an individual bar depends on the batch available.
Minting and security features
The bar is minted, not cast — it has a smooth surface and sharp edges that show the details of the lamp clearly. It leaves the Mint sealed in packaging decorated with Diwali symbols, together with a certificate confirming weight and fineness.
For the 2025 edition the Mint lists additional security features: an individual serial number on every bar, two micro-engraved maple leaves visible only under magnification, and a micro-engraved year mark. The packaging is designed so that any attempt to open it leaves a trace.
Royal Canadian Mint
The Royal Canadian Mint has operated since 1908 and strikes Canada's circulation and bullion coins, including the Gold Maple Leaf. It is on the LBMA Good Delivery list, and its bars are recognised by dealers worldwide.
What to consider
- A bar with a design costs a little more than a plain 10 g bar of the same fineness — the difference reflects the design and packaging.
- Do not open the pack: an intact blister with its certificate makes resale easier.
- The year cannot be chosen — it depends on the batch available when your order is processed.
VAT
Gold bars of 999.9 fineness are exempt from VAT throughout the European Union under Art. 346 of Council Directive 2006/112/EC. In Poland, where GoldInvest24 is based, the rule is implemented by Art. 122 of the VAT Act.
