The Chinese Panda is one of the best-known silver bullion coins in the world. China Gold Coin Incorporation has issued the silver version since 1983, and since 2016 it has used a metric 30 g standard instead of the former troy ounce (31.1 g). The 2025 coin contains 30 g of 999 fine silver and carries a face value of 10 yuan.
The obverse shows the Temple of Heaven (Tiantan) in Beijing with the inscription "People's Republic of China" and the year of issue. The reverse features a giant panda, and the design changes every year — unlike fixed-design coins such as the Maple Leaf or the Vienna Philharmonic.
