The lowest cost per gram in the Nadir range
Casting, marking and handling are spread over a whole kilogram of metal, so the premium per gram is the lowest of all Nadir bars — a fraction of what applies to 5 g or 10 g. The trade-off: the bar is sold whole.
A kilogram of silver is more than 32 ounces. The same amount in 1 oz coins would be 32 separate items, each carrying its own premium.
A 1 kg bar versus Good Delivery bars
LBMA Good Delivery accreditation covers the refinery and the large bars traded on the London market — for silver, 750 to 1,100 troy oz, roughly 23 to 34 kg. The Nadir kilo bar is a retail product of the same refinery: the same fineness and producer mark, but not a Good Delivery bar.
Markings
The top face is stamped with the round Nadir Metal Rafineri logo, the inscription 1000 g Silver, the 999.9 fineness, the Assayer Nadir mark and the serial number (a letter and five digits, as on the example piece in the photo). A casting has a less regular surface than a minted bar — a feature of the process.
Producer
Nadir Metal Rafineri is an Istanbul refinery rooted in a metal recovery workshop founded in 1967, LBMA Good Delivery accredited for gold since 2011 and for silver since 2012.
What to consider
With a kilogram, the effect of 23% VAT on the price compared with the pure metal value is most visible — work the value out from the current silver price. Silver outside airtight packaging tarnishes over time; weight and fineness stay the same.
Why GoldInvest24
Kilo bars from several refiners are listed in 1 kg silver bars.

FAQ
Is the Nadir 1 kg silver bar a Good Delivery bar?
No. The LBMA Good Delivery standard for silver covers bars of 750 to 1,100 troy oz. The 1 kg bar comes from an LBMA-accredited refinery but is a retail product.
How many troy ounces does the 1 kg bar contain?
It contains 32.1507 troy oz of silver, as much as slightly more than 32 coins of 1 oz.
Does the bar have a serial number?
Yes. It is stamped next to the weight, the 999.9 fineness and the Assayer Nadir mark; on the example piece in the photo it is a letter followed by five digits.
What VAT applies?
The 1 kg bar carries 23% VAT. At this weight the gap between price and metal value comes mainly from the tax, as the production cost per gram is low. Gold bullion is exempt under Article 122, silver is not.
