Who Nadir Metal Rafineri is

Nadir Metal Rafineri is a Turkish precious metals refinery. It started in 1967, when Nadir Tütüncü set up a 150 m² workshop to recycle jeweller’s dross, and it became the first gold refinery built in Turkey. The Nadir family has been the sole shareholder since 2001.

LBMA accreditation

Nadir was entered on the LBMA Good Delivery list for gold in 2011 — the first company in Turkey to reach that standard — and for silver in 2012, at that time as the only Turkish company on the silver list. Accreditation means the refinery’s bars are accepted in the London market without re-assay, which is what makes them straightforward to sell on.
